What do the Brightcove iOS SDK and Twitter apps have in common?

As of last week, Brightcove released an update to our iOS SDK that featured built-in sharing features. Twitter sharing was added in this release and the integration uses OAuth to sign in to your Twitter account to tweet about a video. The move to OAuth means increased security for users who tweet while watching videos in your video application. Applications won’t store your username and password, and if you change your password, applications will continue to work. Twitter has also moved away from basic authentication and is now using OAuth only for their mobile applications. Read more about their switch. We're glad to be in good company.
