Agility content management system (CMS) users now have the option of managing and publishing their user-generated video through Brightcove Video Cloud. This new functionality comes courtesy of a recent integration between the Agility User Generated Content (UGC) engine and Brightcove’s Video Cloud online video platform.

The UGC engine integration is Agility’s first milestone as a Brightcove Alliance Technology Partner. In 2012, we plan to integrate Video Cloud with the Agility Digital Content Management interface.

Brightcove Video Cloud is integrated with the Agility User Generated Content engine

Free to Agility customers who already have or initiate Video Cloud accounts, the integration allows publishers to review user-generated video submissions within the Agility UGC engine and then push approved content to Video Cloud for online delivery to any connected device. In addition to video, Agility UGC offers tools to manage website user profiles, comments, votes, likes and customized text and images contributed by site end users.

To get started, users simply need to do enter their Brightcove read and write token information into their Agility UGC settings. Step-by-step instructions are available on the Agility Developer site.

Agility is the latest organization to join the Brightcove Alliance program as a CMS Technology Partner. Other CMS integrations include Ektron, as well as Open Source integrations with Drupal, Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and Adobe CQ5, which are available in the Brightcove Open Source Community at opensource.brightcove.com
