The 4th annual Readers' Choice Awards were presented Tuesday night at the Streaming Media West conference in Los Angeles.

Awards season continues for the online video industry. Voting is now underway for the 2010 Streaming Media Europe Reader's Choice Awards, and we're happy to report that Brightcove is in the running for the Best Online Video Platform category. This category encompasses SaaS platforms that enable customizable publication, syndication and monetization of video on the Web. 

We are pleased to announce that Brightcove chairman and CEO, Jeremy Allaire, is the 2010 inductee into the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX) Innovation Hall of Fame. The Innovation Hall of Fame honors individuals who have introduced technological ideas, products or practices intended to better the world. Jeremy is being honored for his substantial contributions to Web technology and ongoing commitment to entrepreneurship in Massachusetts.

We are delighted to report that Brightcove customer, Inspiring Interns, was recently named among the winners of the 2009 BT Business Essence of the Entrepreneur Award. The awards recognise young companies who use technology to drive their business forward, celebrating the achievements of small businesses that have demonstrated exceptional dedication and passion towards their work.

According to Streaming Media, this year's awards were the most popular to date, with more than 5,000 votes case for more than 200 products, companies and services.

Voting for the 2009 Streaming Media Reader's Choice Awards ends on Friday, October 16th, so make sure to case your vote. We're honored to be a nominee in the online video platforms (premium) category this time around and would appreciate your help and support in the voting process!

The winners will be announced at Streaming Media West in San Jose on November 18 and presented during a gala reception at the show.

We are very proud to report that last Friday at the IBC Conference in Amsterdam, Brightcove was named the "Best Web TV Technology or Service" at the awards ceremony for the 2009 CSI Product Awards. The awards, organized by Cable & Satellite International magazine, are one of the most comprehensive and competitive technology awards in the industry, as they are designed to reward technical and product marketing excellence in the cable, satellite, terrestrial broadcasing and IPTV sectors.

We're happy to report that Brightcove was named Video Company of the Year by the Massachusetts Network Communications Council at their annual awards dinner last night. Jeremy Allaire accepted the award on behalf of the company.

It was gratifying to win the IPTV Award for Best Internet TV Technology/Solution at last night's awards ceremony. Our very own Stu Barnes & Vanessa Wade were on hand to accept, though no award speech was given!
