Boston Ruby Group Monthly Meeting, Tuesday, August 14th, 6:30 PM: Ruby novices and masters alike are certain to learn something new, share ideas and experiences, and meet other users in the community. The August meeting features two 45-minute talks. First will be Ben Orenstien with Refactoring: A Live Coding Odyssey. Node.js in the Wild Meetup, Thursday, August 16th, 7 PM: Organizers Jesse Streb (Brightcove) and Tim Walling (Connected Sports) are kicking off Node.js in the Wild with a look at apps in production and conversation on:
- code structure.
- libraries being used (Express, Jade, Knox and others).
- the stack (Mongo, Redis, EC2 and more).

Opscode Chef Boston Meetup, Tuesday, August 28th, 6 PM: This month’s presentations will focus on "Team Development Workflows with Chef.” Pete Cheslock (Sonian) and Ian Marlier (Brightcove) will discuss their teams’ approach - including the good, the bad, and the ugly - to this critical process.
