We're delighted to announce that Brightcove Once, our cloud based ad insertion and streaming stitching solution, bagged the "Best Video Advertising Platform Award" at last night’s Streaming Media Europe's Readers Choice Awards in London!
This year's Streaming Media European Readers' Choice Awards was their biggest yet, with 352 nominees and over 3,000 voters taking part, showing that while online video is truly a global industry, there is significant interest in and need for regional solutions and vendors. The list of winners shows a split between companies like Brightcove that are based in Europe and the U.S. and have a global reach or those that have made significant European investments to support growing regional markets.
Out of the 16 categories that voters were asked to assess, Brightcove was nominated for two awards - Best Cloud Video Service for Zencoder and Best Video Advertising Platform for Once. Streaming Media Europe is one of the leading publishers providing services for professionals seeking industry news, information, articles, and services surrounding streaming media technology and applications, and thus we are delighted that their readers have recognised Brightcove one of the pioneers in the field.

On day one, Brightcove's VP of Media for EMEA, Luke Gaydon, joined with three other experts in the online video realm to discuss new resolutions and formats such ad UltraHD and 4K in a session entitled: "Is HD the real end of the line for quality?", putting the case for and against going higher than high definition.
